11/14/12 Montecito Home Deconstruction
Carpenteria based Mac Brown Engineering completed yet another Santa Barbara County deconstruction project; this time in the beautiful community of Montecito. Phase 1 of a 10,000 square foot deconstruction project saw 15 sets of double French doors, 4,000 square feet of oak hardwood flooring, solid core raised panel interior doors and much more head to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Goleta. Over 6,000 C-style clay, roofing tiles went to the Habitat ReStores in Norwalk and Gardena. Leonard Unander and Associates was a solid advocate for salvaging the assets of their client and putting them to good use. In the end, over 27 tons of rough lumber was saved.
